Eden Animal Rescue

In December 2024, Kennelbuild completed a full design and build project for a new 24-kennel block at Eden Animal Rescue in Cumbria. Acting as principal contractor, we oversaw the entire process from concept through to completion. Our inhouse architectural and engineering teams worked closely to meet the client's brief, while our site team delivered through challenging winter conditions in the Eden Valley.

During the design and engineering phase, two separate areas were created so that the isolation units could operate independently from the main kennel block. This required separate HVAC, heating, waste, kitchen and grooming provisions to minimise infection risk and support safe day-to-day operation.

Additionally the existing kennel block was linked to the new block via secure corridor to allow dogs and guests to move seamlessly between the two buildings and utilise the secure play area’s.
